OBITUARY: C. H. Bryant, 1980 SOURCE: Unknown newspaper CONTRIBUTOR: Carol Harlow ------------------------------------------------------ VERONA -- Cyrus Henry Bryant, 90, of Route 1 Box 138B, Verona, died at 11:55 p.m. Sunday in King's Daughters' Hospital, Staunton. Mr. Bryant was born in Nelson County on Feb. 12, 1890, a son of the late Jack and Nessie Coffey Bryant. He was preceeded in death by his wife Elsie Mae Bryant, on Feb. 4, 1976. He was a retired Sanitation Department worker for the City of Waynesboro and a member of the Baptist Church. He is survived by three sons, Churchill Henry Bryant, James Wesley Bryant and Herman Odell Bryant, all of Waynesboro; five daughters, Mrs. Richard (Mary) Harris of Verona, Mrs. Earl (Shirley) Bowen and Mrs. James (Eva) Thompson, both of Lyndhurst, Mrs. Betty Jean Dedrick of Stuarts Draft and Mrs. Juanita Virginia Styles of Charlottesville; one sister, Mrs. Flora Wright of Schuyler; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the graveside in Riverview Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Dee C. Flory.
