Obituary: Arthur Thomas Bryant, 1990 Source: Daily Progress Newspaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow ------------------------------------------------------- FABER - Arthur Thomas Bryant, 79, died Monday (Feb. 19) at this home. He was born in Nelson County on July 1, 1910, a son of the late James Emmett and Callye Harris Bryant. He was a member of Rockfish Valley Baptist Church and retired from the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation. Survivors include his wife, Lola Truslow Bryant, two sons Arthur Kermit Bryant of Baltimore, Md., and John Howard Bryant of Hudson, Mass.; three daughters, Hilda Thurston of Crozet, Doris Hughes of Wintergreen and Virginia "Earleen" Nay of Charlottesville; one sister, Estelle Fitzgerald of Nellysford; 19 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Bryum-Parr Funeral Home by the Rev. John Chafee and the Rev. Ron Sathe. Burial will be in Rockfish Valley Baptist Church cemetery. Active and honorary pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
