Obituary: William Nelson Bryant, died Feb. 4, 1973 Source: Unknown Newspaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow ----------------------------------------------------------------------- William Nelson Bryant, 82, of Route1, Lynhurst, a former resident of Nelson County, died at 5:15 a.m. today in Waynesboro Community Hospital. A retired farmer, he was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. Born in Nelson County March 6, 1890, he was a son of the late William T. and Ella O'Brien Bryant. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rosa Bragg Bryant; one daughter, Mrs. Mel L. Hudson of Waynesboro; three sisters, Mrs. Everett Ward of Waynesboro, Mrs. Virginia Ward of Afton and Mrs. Viola Pannell of Lyndhurst; also seven grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will he held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Rodes United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Amos Rideout, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Etter Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Bobby Level, Louis Quick, Randolph Quick, Steve Balsley, James Smith and James Bryant.
