Obituary: Minnie Clara (Lowe) Bryant, 1990 Source: The News-Virginian, Waynesboro Contributor: Dennis Truslow ----------------------------------------------------------------------- AFTON-Minnie Clara Bryant, age 80, formerly of Rt. 2, Afton, died early Monday (May7, 1990) in a Charlottesville nursing home. She was born on July 16, 1909, a daughter of John William and Minnie McQurry Lowe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stonewall Jackson Bryant. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Minnie) Belew of Charlottesville; three sons, William Jackson "Bill" Bryant of Manakin, James Bryant and Benny Bryant, both of Afton; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hebron Baptist Church, with the Rev. Chafee officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Anderson Funeral Home in Crozet.
