Obituary: Stonewall Jackson Bryant, died August 1967 Source: Unknown Newspaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Stonewall Jackson (Jack) Bryant, 56, died unexpected early Sunday morning after visiting friends near his home at Route 2, Afton. Mr. Bryant was a member of the Hebron Baptist Church. A native of Nelson, he was born Oct. 17, 1910, a son of the William T. and Daisy Tisdale Bryant. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Minnie Lowe Bryant; three sons, William J. Bryant of Manakin, James E. Bryant and Benny G. Bryant, both at home; one daughter, Mrs. Herbert Belew of Charlottesville; one half-brother, William Bryant of Sherando; three sisters, Mrs. Viola Pannell of Sherando, Mrs. Everett Ward and Mrs. Riley Ward both of Afton; also five grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hebron Baptist Church at Avon conducted by the Rev. John Chafee. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at Etter Funeral Home until noon Wednesday. Active pallbearers will be Harvey Morris, Glen Pugh, E.
