OBITUARY: BURGER, VERA CLARICE (TRUSLOW), 1999 SOURCE: Roanoke Times & World News, Page B2, December 29, 1999 CONTRIBUTOR: Dennis Truslow ---------------------------------------------------------------- BURGER, Vera Clarice, 90, of Roanoke, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 28, 1999. She will now no longer have to suffer with the agony of Alzheimer's. "She is now free." She was also a member of Oakland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Lewis Burger; a brother, Hubert Truslow; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Norma B. and Ramon W. Redman; granddaughter, Vickie Edwards and husband, Scott of Rossville, Georgia; great-grandchildren, William Scott Edwards, Carl Scott Edwards, Jr.; sister, Eva Owen; three sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 1999 at Oakey's North Chapel with Rev. Kelly H. Dampeer officiating. The interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
