Obituary: Perry Pendleton Butler, 2002 Source: The Daily Progress, December 27, 2002 Contributor: Dennis Truslow ------------------------------------------------------------------- Perry Pendleton Butler, 71, of Faber, (Nelson County) died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, at the University of Virginia Medical Center after a brief illness. Born Nov. 30, 1931, in Albemarle County, he was a son of the late Powers Wyckliff Butler and Jessie Turner Butler. He spent most of his life in Nelson County and was a self employed carpenter and an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is survived by three sisters, Betty B. Fox of Faber, Mary B. Bangs of Sanford, Fla., and Elizabeth B. Robertson of Richmond; two brothers, James W. "Jimmy" Butler of Faber, and William E. Butler of Sanford Fla.; five nieces; four nephews; and one aunt, Gertha Green of Duffville. A family memorial service will be held at a later date. The family suggests that memorials in Perry's memory be made to the Nelson County Rescue Squad at Faber, Va. 22938.
