Obituary: Delmas Delphine Campbell, 1994 Source: Unknown Newspaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow ---------------------------------------------------------------- ROSELAND - Delmas Delphine Campbell, 82, of Route 1, Box 101, died Monday evening (Jan.24, 1994) in Waynesboro Community Hospital. He was born March 15, 1911, in Nelson County, a son of the late J. Clarence and Pearl Smith Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a member of Beech Grove Christian Church and was a charter member of the Rockfish Valley Ruritan Club. In addition to a lifetime of farming, he retired from the Waynesboro Du Pont Co. in 1973 with more than 37 years of service. He was preceded in death by a brother, T. Maxie Campbell. Survivors include his wife, Louise Campbell, whom he married on March 18, 1939; a son, Carl Campbell of Roseland; three brothers, Basil M. Campbell of Roseland, the Rev. E. Elwood Campbell of Fredericksburg and Harold B. Campbell of Nellysford; a grandson, Richard Lee Campbell of Roseland; two aunts, Alma Fox of Afton and Mary Critzer of Charlottesville; and a number of nieces and nephews. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in McDow Funeral Home by the Rev. John Chafee. Burial will be in Beech Grove Christian Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be J. L Thompson, Andrew Hickman, Mike Campbell, Ronnie Campbell, Rodney Campbell, Joel Falls and Donald Martin. The family will be receive friends at the home of his son on Route 664, Beech Grove, at any time.
