Obituary: James Maryland Campbell, died June 1, 1986 Published: Unknown Newspaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ROSELAND - James Maryland Campbell, 69, of Route 1, died Sunday in Waynesboro Community Hospital. He was born April 1, 1917, in Nelson County, a son of the late James M. and Gertrude Mawyer Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a retired farmer and a member of Beech Grove Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Edith C. Campbell; tow sons, James "Jimmy" R. Campbell Sr., of Afton, Douglas "Doug" L. Campbell of Roseland; three daughters, Shirley C. Tyree of Madison Heights, Dorothy C. Thompson of Monroe and Margaret C. Taylor of Arrington; five sisters, Lucy Hughes and Kathleen Lawhorne , both of Waynesboro, and Mary Puckett, Pauline Patrick and Ruth Falls, all of Roseland; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Byrum-Parr Funeral Home by the Rev. Rolland Hatter with internment in Beech Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Tyree, George Thompson Jr., Randall Thompson, Jaimie Campbell, Andy Campbell, Jeff Goff, Eddie Kidd and Orbic Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be friends of the family.
