Obituary: Bloomer M. Carter, 1987 Source: Unknown Newspaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow ----------------------------------------------------------------------- AFTON - Miss Bloomer M. Carter, 86, a resident of Route 2, died Saturday night (Jan. 10) in her residence. She was born in Nelson County, Dec. 13, 1900, a daughter of Thomas Henry and Alice Virginia Wallace Carter. Miss Carter was a member of Rockfish Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two brothers, Thomas W. Carter and Howard E. Carter, both of Afton, and a number of nieces and nephews. A service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Rockfish Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dinah Ansley, with burial in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jessie Truslow, Hampton Truslow, Rodney Truslow, James Truslow, Cloudy Truslow and Sommers Carter.
