Obituary: BEAUREY M. CARR, 1949 Source: Staunton News Leader, 13 Mar 1949 Contributor: Carol Harlow -------------------------------------------------------- WAYNESBORO, March 12- Beaurey Miller Carr, 59, died today at eight a. m. at University of Virginia hospital where he had been a patient for the past eleven days. He was born March 1, 1890 in Nelson County, a son of the late Howard and Lynda Fitzgerald Carr, and was a member of the Waynesboro Christian Church, a member of the I.O.O.F. Chapter 29, a third degree Moose of the Waynesboro Lodge, a state fire warden, and was employed at du Pont for the past eight years. His last employment was in the storeroom of Minor Construction. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lelia Lawhorne Carr, Princeton Cottage, East Jefferson Highway; one son, Beaurey Maywood Carr, Waynesboro; seven daughters, Mrs. Warren Kyger, Nashville, Tenn,; Mrs, Paul Floyd, Afton; Mrs. George Bolton, Waynesboro; and the Misses Ruby, Juanita, Martha. Jane, and Ramona Carr, all of Waynesboro; also five grandchildren, three brothers Derry Carr and Percy Carr, both of Massies Mill; and C. Raymond Carr, Baltimore; two sisters, Miss Grace Carr and Mrs. Ora Bryant, both of Waynesboro. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at two p. m. from the chapel of the Etter Funeral Home by the Rev. Stafford E. Davis, pastor of the Waynesboro Christian Church, with interment in the Lebanon Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Greenwood. Pallbearers will be members of the local Moose Lodge. Active - H. G.
