Obituary: Sherman W. Cash, 1992 Source: Unknown Newspaper Contributor: Carol Harlow --------------------------------------------------------------------- STUARTS DRAFT - Sherman W. Cash, 60, of 432 Forest Drive, died Friday evening (Sept. 4, 1992) at his residence. He was born March 22, 1932, at Montebello, son of William Massie and Ruby Campbell Cash. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, retired in 1979 from General Electric and was a member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church and was attending Fishersville Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Beulah Chittum Smith Cash; a daughter, Mrs. Steve (Kimberly) Fretwell of Staunton, a step-daughter, Mrs. Glen (Yvonne) Griffin of Stuarts Draft; two stepsons, Steven C. Smith of Churchville and Anthony C. Smith of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren three stepgreat grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Burnel Cash, and William Massie Cash Jr.; a sister, Cecile Rebena Cash Scott; two infant brothers and an infant sister. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 this afternoon in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by the Rev. Judson D. Baldwin. Active pallbearers will be Jerry A. Chittum, Marshall W. Chittum, Lewis W. Shuey, Kelly Bowns, Samuel Cash and Michael Chandler. Honory pallbearers will be neices and nephews. There will be no public viewing of the body.
