Obituary: Percy Floyd Clark, 2001 Source: Unknown Newspaper Contributor: Ronnie Fitzgerald ------------------------------------------------------------------- Percy Floyd Clark, 66 of Schuyler, died March 1, 2001 in a local hospital. Born February 11, 1935 in Schuyler, Va., he was the son of Martha Viar Clark and the late James Edward Clark. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Albert A. Clark and a son-in-law, Howdy Mills. Percy was self employed for most of his life. He started the family businesses in the early 60’s and continued until his health would not allow. He loved his family deeply and his grandchildren were the highlights of his life. He was always concerned with the welfare of those in need. He attended Schuyler High School, was a member of Schuyler Baptist Church, and was former chairman of the Nelson County Board of Supervisors. He leaves a devoted wife of 47 years, Eula Nash Clark; five daughters, Jackie Miller and her husband Rick, Stephanie Mills, Amy Snapp and her husband Derek, Kim Clark and her fiancée Todd Heater, and Alison Morgan and her husband Wade, all of Schuyler; one sister, Barbara C. Marks of Charlottesville; two brothers James E. Clark, Jr. of Charlottesville, and Ronald M. Clark of Schuyler; eight grandchildren, Jonathan, Skyler, Rachael, Haley, Sam, Jessica, Willie and Alex; one great grandchild, Makala; Mack Mayo who was raised as one of his own and a special friend, Ruth Brandt. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Teague Chapel with Reverend Scott Lewis officiating. Interment followed in Alberene Cemetery.
