  AFTON - Brent H. Coffey, 70, of Rt. 2, Afton, died Saturday
morning (Jan. 10, 1987) in Waynesboro Conununity Hospital.
  He was born at Montebello May 10, 1916, a son of Massie Franklin
and Siddie Bell (Campbell) Coffey.
  He was a member of Rockfish Valley Baptist Church and was a
retired farmer.
  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rachel L. (Campbell) Coffey; 
two daughters, Mildred Louise Coffey and Betty Ann Huffman, both of 
Afton; three brothers, Davis Franklin of Alexander, Paul Hardy of 
Staunton and Erskin Hop Coffey; three sisters, Mrs. Loraine 
Fitzgerald of Stuarts Draft, Mrs. Jenittey Fitzgerald of 
Charlottesville and Mrs. Gladys Bradley of Greenville; seven
grandchildren; five great-grand-children; and a number of nieces
and nephews
