  Susie Jane Campbell Coffey, 94, of Tyro, died Thursday, Nov. 10, in 
Eldercare Gardens in Charlottesville. She was the widow of Leslie Coffey.
  Born in Nelson County May 30, 1900, she was a daughter of the late Ellis 
and Mary Crist Campbell. She moved to Lynchburg in 1952. She was a member 
of the Thomas Road Baptist Church.
  She is survived by one son, Ellis Coffey of Philadelphia, Penn.; one 
daughter, Dora Hudson of Alexandria; six grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren.
  She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Campbell and four sisters, 
Josephine Bright, Kate Kirby, Belle Campbell and Georgia Campbell.
  A funeral service was held in Byrum-Parr Funeral Home, with the Rev. 
Jerry Hopkins officiating. Burial was in Jonesboro Cemetery.
  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made 
to the Roseland Rescue Squad, Roseland, Va. 22967.
