COFFEY TYRO - Mrs. Mae (Sorrells) Coffey, 71, of Tyro died Sunday (Aug. 18, 1974) in the District Home, Waynesboro. She was born in Nelson County, a daughter of Willie D. and Ida (Fitzgerald) Sorrels. Mrs. Coffey was a member of Evergreen Christian Church. Surviving are her husband, Clarence H. Coffey; one son, William H. Coffey of Stuart Draft; eight daughters, Mrs. H. D. Allen and Mrs. Walton Bryant, both of Stuarts Draft, Mrs. Ernest B. Quick, Mrs. Delbert F. Phillips and Miss Betty J. Coffey, all of Lyndhurst, Mrs. Vera Falls of Vesuvius, Mrs. Genevieve Mawyer of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mrs. Norman Maddox of Mableton Ga.; 21 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted 3 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Peran Baptist Church at Montebello by the Revs. Charles Williams and B. C. Jamerson. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
