OBITUARY: Ethie B. Coffey, 1993 SOURCE: unknown newspaper CONTRIBUTOR: Carol Harlow ------------------------------------------------------ WAYNESBORO -- Ethie Belle (Fitzgerald) Coffey, 82, of 1604 Monroe St., died on Friday morning (Nov. 22, 1993) at Avante Nursing Home. She was born on July 2, 1911 at Montebello, a daughter of M.J. and Bertha (Bradley) Fitzgerald. She was a member of First Christian Church and the women's auxiliary. Surviving are her husband, Eugene R. Coffey; two sons, Russell A. Coffey of Charlottesville and Henry R. Fitzgerald Jr. of Stuarts Draft; a brother, Henry R. Fitzgerald of Fishersville; two sisters, Sheilah Harris of Lyndhurst and Audrey L. Burns of Waynesboro; and five grandchildren. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home by the Rev. Joe Mammo, with burial at Augusta Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Dennis, Wilson and David Coffey, Ronnie and Jerry Leitch, Hank Fitzgerald, Tracey Crawford and Donald Campbell. The family will receive friends from 7-8 tonight at the funeral home. Mrs. Coffey's grandchildren are Karen Michele Coffey of Crozet, Russell A. Coffey II of Abilene, Texas, Tiffany Fitzgerald of Stuarts Draft, Hank Fitzgerald of Waynesboro and Donald R. Campbell of Harrisonburg.
