OBITUARY: MALCOLM H. COFFEY, 1985 SOURCE: Unknown newspaper CONTRIBUTOR: Carol Harlow ------------------------------------------------------ Malcolm Hall "Mack" Coffey, 62, formerly of Waynesboro, died Dec. 31, 1985 in Barti, Italy. He was born in near Sherando on Nov. 17, 1923, a son of Adolphus F. and Iola Jane (Hatter) Coffey. He served as a medic in the Air Force during World War II, earned a degree in theology from Cincinnati Bible Seminary and had served as minister of the Altavista Church of Christ. He was employed as director of Mediterranean Christian Missioins in Barti, where he had lived for 30 years. Survivors include his widow, Wilma (Delahunt) Coffey; two daughters, Patricia and Valerie, both of Cincinnati; two sons, Mark of Michigan and Scott Coffey of California; three brothers, Ralph C. and Eugene R., both of Waynesboro; and Ross W. Coffey of Staunton; three sisters, Miss Gertrude Coffey of Fredericksburg and Mrs. Lillian C. Proffitt and Mrs. Ruby C. Mason, both of Alexandria; a number of nieces and nephews. A service and burial was held in Barti. A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m Sunday in First Christian Church on Delphine Avenue, Waynesboro, by the Revs. Eddie Forehand, Harvey Powell, J.D.
