OBITUARY: HOUSTON J. COFFEY, 1990 SOURCE: Unknown newspaper CONTRIBUTOR: Carol Harlow ------------------------------------------------------ SHERANDO -- Houston John Coffey, 72, died Sunday (July 29, 1990) at his residence. He was born Jan. 11, 1918 in Nelson County, a son of Forrest and Eva (Campbell) Coffey. He was a member of Mountain Top Christian Chruch. In addition to his parents of Sherando, survivors include his wife, Nellie M. Coffey; four daughters, Lea Fitzgerald of Lyndhurst, Naomi Monroe of Waynesboro, Jean Glass of Verona and Bonnie Summers of Raleigh, N.C.; one brother, Richard Coffey of Stuarts Draft; three sisters, Ruby Coffey and Louise Campbell, both of Sherando, and Madelline Hewitt of Waynesboro; and 10 grandchildren and six great- grandchildren.
