Obituary: Georgia Campbell Coffey, 1968 Source: Lynchburg News, Lynchburg, Va., April 20, 1968 Contributor: Elodie Thompson ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- PINEY RIVER-Mrs. Georgia Campbell Coffey, 86, of Washington died Friday in a Washington hospital. Born in Amherst County, she was the daughter of Nathaniel Campbell and Edith Cash Campbell. She was a member of National Memorial Baptist Church and a former member of Piney River Baptist church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Marie C. Bartels of Alexandria, Mrs. Christine C. Beeton of Waterford, Mrs. Lyndall C. McCloud of Aldie and Mrs. Louise C. Rawley of Fairlawn, N. J.; four sons, Earl C. Coffey of Washington, J. Wilson Coffey of Manassas, Col. Charles F. Coffey Jr., of Elmira and Carlton L. Coffey of Vienna; three sisters, Mrs. Martin Mays and Mrs. DuVall Holding of Amherst and Mrs. Vera Angus of Forest. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Piney River Baptist Church by the Rev. W. W. Crady. Burial will be in the family cemetery.
