Obituary: Isabella (Thompson) Davis Source: Alexandria Gazette Contributor: Mary Woolls, Mara5wool@aol.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Isabella (Thompson) Davis Funeral services for Mrs. Isabella Davis, who died this morning at the Alexandria Hospital, will be held on Monday June 5, at 11 a.m. from the Cunningham and Alfred Streets. Interment in Mount Comfort Cemetery. Services will be conducted by the Rev. David Garrette of Cameron Valley Community Church. Mrs. Davis, who lived at 110 Williams St., was the widow of William James Davis, and is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Sarah B. Wade, Mrs. Virginia F. Brady and Mrs. Muriel C. Garwood, all of Alexandria; two sons, Walter W. and Oliver E. of Alexandria; 19 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren and 11 great great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lee Thompson of Alexandria and Cleveland Thompson of Lovingston, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Nealie Spencer of Alexandria and Mrs. Annie Spencer of Lovingston. Contributor’s notes: Isabella Thompson was born March 9, 1882, the daughter of the late Samuel Robert Thompson and Elvira Behetherland Morris of Nelson County.
