Obituary: Terotha Mildred (Thompson) Davis Source: Alexandria Gazette, date unknown Contributor: Mary Woolls, Mara5wool@aol.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Terotha Mildred (Thompson) Davis Funeral services for Terotha Mildred Davis who died on Thursday, Nov. 8 will be held on Monday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. from the Cunningham Funeral Home, Cameron and Alfred Sts. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Falie? R. Phillips of the Downtown Baptist Church and interment will follow at Mt. Comfort Cemetery. Mrs. Davis, the wife of the late Henry Clarence Davis, resided at Springfield and is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Bessie L. Davis of Springfield, Mrs. Lula E. Brown of Woodbridge, Mrs. Annie C. Robertson of Springfield, and Mrs. Minnie E. Carr of Alexandria; three sons, Claud E. of Alexandria, Henry Clarence and Perry C. Davis both of Springfield; four sisters, Mrs. Florence Morris of Schuyler, Va., Mrs. Annie Spencer of Lovingston, Mrs. Neele Spencer of Alexandria and Mrs. Belle Davis of Franconia; two brothers, Lee of Alexandria, and Cleveland Thompson of Schuyler; 39 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Contributor’s notes: Terotha was born September 15, 1880 and died November 8, 1956.
