Obituary: Frances (Fitzpatrick) Edmunds, 2003 Source: The Daily Progress, July 16, 2003 Contributor: Dennis Truslow, aquaair@erols.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Frances Fitzpatrick Edmunds, 97, died Tuesday, July 15, 2003 in Waynesboro, Virginia. She was born April 23, 1906 in Nelson County, VA, a daughter of John T. Fitzpatrick and Carrie Weldon Butts Fitzpatrick. She was a graduate of Randolph- Macon, and held at Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waynesboro, the Waynesboro Garden Club, the Farmington Country Club of Charlottesville, and was a Paul Harris Fellow of the Waynesboro Rotary Club. Her husband, Felix E. Edmunds, preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 1990. Her brother, Walter Carrington Fitzpatrick, and her sister, Mabel Walter Putney, also preceded her in death. She is survived by a nephew, Walter C. Putney, Jr. of Reno, NV. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 18, at Riverview Cemetery in Waynesboro by the Rev. William G. Wilson. There will be no visitation or viewing. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 301 S. Wayne Ave. Waynesboro, VA 22980, or to a charity of your choice.
