Obituary: Gertrude (Rose) Thompson Mosby El-Amin, 2002 Source: The News Advance, Aug. 21, 2002 Contributor: Dennis Truslow ----------------------------------------------------------------- Gertrude Thompson Mosby El-Amin, (102), died Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, in Grace Lodge Nursing Home. She was born in Nelson County on June 20, 1900, the daughter of the late Willis Rose and Blanch Rose. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, a son and two grandchildren. She is survived by a step-daughter, Mrs. Lillie Brown of Newark, N.J.; a daughter-in-law, Geraldine Thompson of Lynchburg; three grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A service will be conducted 3:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, in Forest Hill Burial Park with Imam Ibrahim Hamidullah, eulogist.
