WAYNESBORO -- Grover Richard "Joe" Fitzgerald, of 1520 4th St., died Sunday 
(Feb. 15, 2004) at his home. He was born Oct. 8, 1929, at Nelson County, to 
Curtis and Dola (Meeks) Fitzgerald. 

Mr. Fitzgerald was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Ethel 
Fitzgerald; three sons, Dwayne, Donny and Richard Fitzgerald; a sister, Nora 
Glass; and a stepson, Mickey Scott. Survivors include his wife, the Rev. Ann 
T. Fitzgerald; three daughters, Dorothy Alford and Marilyn Roberson of 
Waynesboro and Wilma Lee Hanckel of Afton; four stepdaughters, Lisa C. Scott 
and Rita Kelley of Weyers Cave, Tida Kellison of Swoope and Charlotte Powell 
of Lyndhurst; two stepsons, Roger Scott of Grottoes and Mike Scott of Afton; 
and a sister, Ada Alexander of Buchanan. 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McDow Funeral Home. Burial will be at 
Greenfield Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 this 
evening at the funeral home.
