NELSON COUNTY, VA - OBITUARIES - Dolly M. (Fitzgerald) Trafny, 8 Jun 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Source: Post-Tribune, Gary Indiana, June 11, 2004 DOLLY M. TRAFNY Age 72 of Portage, IN, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2004. Dolly was an area resident since 1962 and was a bookkeeper. She was retired from Sun Engineering in Lake Station, IN. She was born in Nelson County, VA on June 13, 1931 to the late Albert Fitzgerald and Callie Mohler. She was married on July 14, 1949 in Baltimore, MD to the late John P. Trafny, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Patrick Trafny of Gary, IN, John P. (Gaye) Trafny Jr. of Rio Vista, CA, William (Brenda) Trafny of Valparaiso, IN, James Trafny of Portage, IN, Mark (Brenda) Tranfy of Knox, IN and Michal (Bryant) Mitol of Valparaiso, In; 10 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, Catelyn and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John Trafny, brothers, James and John Fitzgerald and sisters, Elizabeth Truslow and Eliza Fitzgerald. Per John & Dolly's wishes, their remains will be interred together at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the VNA Hospice of Laporte County, 901 S. Woodland Ave, Michigan City, In 46360. John Vesta Fitzgerald, Alexander G. (Stoney) Fitzgerald, Sailor Givens Fitzgerald and one half sister, Mary Lina Bell Fitzgerald Leisher. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James (Jim) Edward Fitzgerald and John (Buck) Fitzgerald and two sisters, Elizabeth (Lizzie) W. Fitzgerald Truslow and Eliza A. Fitzgerald.
