Obituary: Ellen Baber Finley, 2003 Source: The Daily Progress, April 19, 2003 Contributor: Dennis Truslow, aquaair@erols.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ellen Baber Finley, 70, died Thursday, April 17, 2003, in a local hospital. Born September 8, 1932, in Nelson County, she was the daughter of the late Ardie Irving and Rosa Toms Baber. Mrs. Finley was a member of Rock Springs United Methodist Church in Faber and later a charter member of Lambs Road Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Malcolm G. Finley Sr.; one son, "Mark" Malcolm G. Finley Jr., and his wife, Terry; two daughters, Joyce Lilly and her husband, Richard, and Bonnie Carter and her husband, Thomas; two grandsons; two granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; and her cat Priscilla. Ellen and her husband Malcolm are owners of Finley's Barracks Road Service Center where she was office manager for 28 years. Her family will remember her for her love of flower gardening, animals, her family, and her continued faith in God. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2003, at Teague Chapel. Interment will follow at Monticello Memory Gardens.
