OBITUARY: Darius H. FITZGERALD, 1965 SOURCE: unknown newspaper CONTRIBUTOR: Carol Harlow ------------------------------------------------------ RAPHINE -- Darius Hobab Fitzgerald, 49, of Rt. 1, Raphine died Saturday (May 8, 1965) near his home. He was born July 6, 1915 in Nelson County, and served in the Army during World War II. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Herman K. (Eva) Will of Clinton, Md. and Mrs. Kenneth (Ethel) Stallar of Richmond; and four brothers, Ottis O. Fitzgerald and Arnie M. Fitzgerald, both of Stuarts Draft, Caleb O. Fitzgerald of Raphine and Robert F. Fitzgerald of Ellison. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at eleven o'clock at the grave in the Staunton National Cemetery conducted by the Rev. W. C. Miller. Pallbearers will be Mathew Fitzgerald, Bernice Fitzgerald, Raymond Allen, Herman Painter, Dennis Allen, and Richard Stennett. Honorary: Roger Fitzgerald, Don Taylor, Sonny Taylor, Roger Moran, Butch Allen and Ronnie Taylor.
