OBITUARY: Geneva Snead Fitzgerald, 1991 SOURCE: unknown newspaper CONTRIBUTOR: Carol Harlow ------------------------------------------------------ MONTEBELLO -- Geneva Snead Fitzgerald, 76, of HCR-01, Box 8, died early Wednesday morning (May 29, 1991) at her residence. She was born in Nelson County June 8, 1914, a daughter of Marshall Thomas and Sophronie (Fitzgerald) Snead. She was a member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church and was a lifelong resident of Montebello. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell C. Fitzgerald on Feb. 9, 1974. Survivors include one daughter, Louise Seaman of Montebello; one son, Russell T. Fitzgerald of Kokomo, Ind.; three sisters, Evelyn Brisendine of Allentown, Penn. Bessie Robertson of Lyndhurst and Martha Good of Front Royal; and seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Paran Baptist Church by the Rev. Jim Simmons. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Pallbearers will be Milton Bryant, Steven Bryant, Lester Roberts, Bryan Fitzgerald, Michael Fitzgerald, Davie Seaman, Todd Fitzgerald and Alton Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.
