OBITUARY: Folcie, Frances Fitzgerald SOURCE: unknown newspaper CONTRIBUTOR: Carol Harlow ------------------------------------------------------ Mrs. Folcie, Frances Fitzgerald, 82, of 132 S. Delphine Ave. died at 12:45 a.m. yesterday in Waynesboro Community Hospital. Mrs. Fitzgerald was born in Nelson County on April 26, 1897, a daughter of the late David Edward and Sarah Frances Coffey Painter. She was a member of Mt. Joy Presbyterian Church, Route 1, Raphine. She was preceded in death by her husband Allen Gee Fitzgerald, Jan. 15, 1973. She is survived by four sons, Allen L. Fitzgerald and Robert Ralph Fitzgerald, both of Waynesboro, Thomas M. Fitzgerald of Stuarts Draft and Bruce W. Fitzgerald, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. Tracy H. (Lucille) Cash of Raphine, Mrs. Ervin H. (Ida) Boyd of Stuarts Draft and Mrs. Beatrice Higgins of Herndon; one brother, A. T. Painter of Lanham, Md.; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Phillips of Amherst; 31 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the chapel of the Etter Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. John Thompson, pastor of Mt. Joy Presbyterian Church, with burial in Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Steele's Tavern. Active pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
