  LYNDHURST - Carrie G. Fitzgerald, 74, of Rt. 1, Lyndhurst, died at 
8:20 a.m. Monday (May 8, 1995) at Augusta Medical Center.
  She was born on July 28, 1920 at Nelson County, a daughter of Mayo 
and Sally (Fitzgerald) Fitzgerald. 
  She was a member of Mountain View Mennonite Church.
  Surviving are a son, Jerry Fitzgerald of Lyndhurst; a daughter, 
Josephine Carr of Stuarts Draft; a sister, Wavey Taylor of 
Charlottesville; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a 
number of nieces and nephews.
  A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mountain View 
Mennonite Church by the Rev. Phil Kanagy and William Hatter, with 
burial at the church cemetery.
  Pallbearers will be Lynwood and Elwood Fitzgerald, Roger Allen, 
Clinton and Jess Bridge, Marvin Henderson, Harry DeVore and Dr. 
Richard Miller. 
  Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews. 
  The family will receive friends from 7-8 tonight at the Waynesboro 
chapel of Etter Funeral Home. 
  Memorials may be made to Mountain View Mennonite Church, Sherando, 
Va., or Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad, Box 86, Stuarts Draft, Va. 24477.
