Obituary: Nina S Fitzgerald, 2002 Source: The Daily Progress and The News and Advance, Nov. 21, 2002 Contruibutor: Dennis Truslow ------------------------------------------------------------------- Nina Stewart Fitzgerald, 91, of Lovingston, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, at the Lovingston Health Care Center. Born Nov. 14, 1911, in Nelson, she was a daughter of the late William Howard Stewart and Minnie Belle Kidd Stewart. And was the wife of the late Joseph Leonard Fitzgerald Sr., who died in 1964. She was retired from Lovingston Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lovingston. She is survived by her son, Joseph L. "Joey" Fitzgerald Jr. and his wife, Donna Rae of Lovingston; her very special grandson, Cameron Scott Fitzgerald; her foster daughter, Harriet Elson Sanderson of Stafford; a brother, Charlie V. Stewart of Cremora; a sister, Jessie C. Adams of Amherst; two foster grand- children, Jay Weaver and Sandy Sirio; three foster great-grandchildren, Amber Payne, Anthony Sirio and Michael Sirio; several nieces and nephews; and a devoted friend, Hazel Stevens. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Guy Waller, Howard and Pettit Stewart; and two sisters, Myrtle Wright and Hazel Showalter. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. John P. Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View cemetery, Lovingston. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and suggest that memorials take the form of contributions to the building fund of Calvary Baptist Church at P.O. Box 264, Lovingston, Va. 22949.
