Obituary: Richard Wayne Fitzgerald, 2003 Source: The Daily Progress, April 8, 2003 Contributor: Ronnie Fitzgerald --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Richard Wayne Fitzgerald of Charlottesville, departed this life on Sunday, April 6, 2003, at his home in Albemarle County. He was the son of the late Herman and Mary Fitzgerald (of Nelson County). He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Herman Massie and Gene Fitzgerald. Mr. Fitzgerald was retired from Martha Jefferson Hospital after 25 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Alice Hunt Fitzgerald; one daughter, Tammy Denise Carter and her husband, Daniel of Charlottesville; two sons, Gregory Alan Hunt of Keswick and Glenn Alan Hunt and his wife, Anne of Devin, Texas; three grand- children, Elizabeth, Ashley and James Hunt all of Devin, Texas; two brothers, Robert Fitzgerald and his wife, Sharon, of Kansas, William Fitzgerald and his wife, Kathy of Newport News; two sisters, Elsie Moore and her husband, Mert, of Lovingston, (Nelson County), Lily Tyler and her husband, JR. of Schuyler; also a close family member Ronnie Fitzgerald and his wife, Vicky of Schuyler. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Teague Chapel with Pastor Pete Hartwig officiating. Interment will follow in Monticello Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
