Fitzgerald, 74, Nelson County, farmer, died Monday at his home in Beechgrove after an extended illness. He was born February 7, 1875, Beechgrove, son of the late Napoleon D. Fitzgerald and Katherine Lucinda Blackwell Fitzgerald. He married Melissa Truslow, who survives together with four sons, William, Leslie, Clinie and Lewis Fitzgerald, all of Roseland, and daughters, Mrs. Lonie Dodd of Waynesboro, and Mrs. Helen Mawyer, Mrs. Swanie Wiggins, Mrs. Maury Fitzgerald, all of Roseland. Mrs. Fitzgerald also leaves a brother, J. R. Fitzgerald, of Roseland, four sisters, Mrs. Cora Taylor of Covesville, Mrs. M. Hampton Dodd of Nellysford, Mrs. ?? of Avon and Mrs. ? Meeks of Verona; a half sister Mrs. Clyde Hicks of Huntington, W.Va. and four half-brothers Hoy and Tucker Fitzgerald both of Lynchburg, and Raymond and Thomas Fitzgerald of Roseland. A funeral will be 2 pm this afternoon from Beech-Grove Christian Church, the service will be conducted by the Rev. McKenney. Interment will be in the churchyard.
