(Meredith) Foster, born April 14, 1914, died Aug. 6, 2002 Published: The Daily Progress, Aug. 9, 2002 Contributor: Dennis Truslow ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leolia Elizabeth Foster, 88, of Shipman, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002, at the Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C. Born April 14, 1914, in Lovingston, (Nelson County) she was a daughter of the late Rev. Walter Meredith and Florence Loving Meredith. She was a lifelong member of Poplar Flats Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Hughes Foster in 1993. She is survived by a daughter, Evelyn F. Noble of Capitol Heights, Md.; two sons, Camel Eugene Foster of Clinton, Md., and Thomas Edward Foster of Hyattesville, Md.; and a sister, Mamie Riley of Baltimore. A family wake will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Bright Hope Baptist Church in Lovingston, followed by the service at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Horace Spears and the Rev. William M. Foster Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
