Obituary: Raymond F. Gentry Jr., 80, of Schuyler, died Monday August 4, 2003. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond F. Gentry Sr., and Blanch Sprouse Gentry, his wife, Virginia Kidd Gentry and a son, Ray E. Gentry. Survivors include three brothers, Carl Gentry of Massachusetts, Alvin and Clifford Gentry, both of Scottsville; three sisters, Marie Newton of Scottsville, Dora Jones of Esmont, and Lily Bush of Delaware; a daughter-in- law, Marianne K. Gentry, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Gentry served in the U.S. Army during WW II, he was a recipient of the Bronze Star. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Gentry Family Cemetery (route 602), Schuyler, with the Rev. James C. Jetton officiating.
