E.Gochenour Staunton - Mrs. Fannie Hughes Gochenour, 66, died Friday morning at the home. Born in Nelson County, she was the daughter of Eldridge E. and Branche Thurston Harris. She served on the staff of Western State Hospital for more than 20 years and was night supervisor at the time of her retirement two years ago. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Staunton and Fidelity Bible Class. Her first husband was the late Clarence Jeter Hughes. Her second husband was the late David Elmer Gochenour. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mason Pickett of Haymarket; a step-daughter, Mrs. John Foulks of Silver Spring, MD; five sisters, Mrs. Milton Turner of Scottsville, Mrs. Thomas E. Roberts of Faber, Mrs. Jess W. Hughes of Roseland, Mrs. Arthur S. DePriest of Churchville; a brother, Troy K. Harris of Faber and two grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamrick Funeral Chapel in Staunton. Burial will be in the Thornrose Cemetery. The family will be at Hamrick Funeral Home from 1:30 to 3 p.m. today.
