Obituary: James Dillard Goff, 1992 Source: The Daily Progress Contributor: Jim McRay --------------------------------------------------------------------------- James Dillard Goff, age 64, of Route 1 died Tuesday morning, August 25, 1992, in UVA Medical Center. Born June 19, 1928, in Faber, he was the son of the late Dabney H. Goff and Julia Phillips Goff. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Harold Lyle Goff. Mr. Goff was a former employee of Alberene Stone of Schuyler with more than 20 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Helen Stotler Goff; three sons, Richard Lynn Goff of Buckingham and James David and Douglas Wayne Goff, both of Lovingston; two daughters, Sharon Lee Pemberton of Alexander City, Ala., and Brenda Faye Deyarmette of Metairie, La.; four brothers, Gilbert Goff of Esmont, Howard Goff of Charlottesville, and Melvin and Calvin Goff, both of Faber; two sisters, Bertha Weeks of Charlottesville and Amanda Phillips of Richmond; and seven grand- children, Richie, John David, Jeremy, Harry James, Chrystal, Brandi and Lyla. A graveside service will be held at 2 P.M. Friday in Rock Springs Cemetery in Faber with the Rev. W. Gene Davis officiating. The family will be receive friends from 7 - 8:30 P.M.
