Obituary: Frances Woodson Graves Source: The Daily Progress, August 12, 2003 Contributor: Dennis Truslow, aquaair@erols.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mattie Frances Woodson Graves, 72, of Crozet, died at Gibson’s Adult Home on Friday, August 8, 2003. She was born on March 15, 1931 in Albemarle County to the late Charlie Richard Woodson and Carrie Virginia Barnett Woodson. She was preceded in death by two brothers; John B. and James T. Woodson, and a grandson; Jamie Beverly. She is survived by two daughters; Suzie Adams and husband Mike of Afton, Mary Beth Beverly and husband James of Charlottesville, four sisters; Katherine Black and husband Clarence of Crozet, Charlotte Dollins and husband Bill of Crozet, Betty Barksdale and husband Roy of Batesville, Nancy Farinholt and husband Dick of Richmond, five grandchildren; Brandy Smith and husband Bryan, Brian Pugh, Stephanie Adams, Megan Adams, Melissa Beverly, and two great-grandchildren; Austin and Hunter Smith, and one sister-in-law; Elizabeth Woodson of Nelson County, also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews and many loving and devoted friends. She retired in 1995 from Acme Visible Records after forty-five years of service. Family would like to give a special thanks to the caregivers of the Gibson’s Adult Home and Hospice of the Piedmont. Family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of the Piedmont, 1490 Pantops Mountain Place, Charlottesville, Va. 22911. Family will receive friends tonight from 7-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 12, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Hillsboro Baptist Church and interment will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Dr. Alan Thompson will be officiating.
