Minor Wayne Hill, age 50, of River Road, Faber, (Nelson County), died Saturday 
morning, Jan. 31, 2004, at the Avante at Waynesboro.
Born April 9, 1953, in Charlottesville, Minor was a son of the late Edward 
McCallum Hill and Virginia Harris Hill. Besides his parents he was preceded in 
death by his brother James Edward Hill. He was a member of Adial Baptist 
Church.
He is survived by his loving and devoted sisters, Emma J. Cash and husband, 
Michael, and Judy A. Higgins and husband, Rodney, all of Waynesboro. A nephew 
Michael W. Cash II; two nieces, Jennifer H. Higgins and Katelyn N. Higgins, 
all of Waynesboro, and several cousins.
A funeral service will be held Monday, February 2, 2004, at 11:00 A.M. at 
Adial Baptist Church with Rev. Evan Johnson officiating with Interment to 
follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home and 
suggest that memorials take the form of contribution to Adial Baptist Church 
Building Fund, 1090 Adial Road, Faber, Virginia 22938.

While he and his wife had no children, he was an "uncle" to many nieces and
nephews.

He will be greatly missed by his lap dog, LuLu. He asked to be remembered to
all the kids he drove over the years.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2004,
in the chapel of the Hill & Wood Funeral Home with the Rev. Suzanne Hylton-
Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in the Isaiah Clem Cemetery in Fort Valley at 1:00 p.m.

A luncheon will be offered at Oak Level Methodist Church following the burial.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at funeral
home.

The family expresses their thanks to Hospice of the Piedmont and especially
Margaret Sutton for their loving care and concern.

Friends who wish may send flowers or make a memorial contribution to the
Hospice of the Piedmont, 1490 Pantops Mountain Place, Suite 200,
Charlottesville, Va. 22911.
