Hall, 61, of 630 Maple Ave., died Tuesday evening (Sept. 6) at his residence. He was born June 27, 1927, in Waynesboro, a son of Harry Hall and Lillie Truslow Hall Coiner. Mr. Hall as a member and deacon of First Presbyterian Church. He was employed with the Waynesboro Du Pont Co. since 1944. He was a member of Masonic Lee Lodge 209, Scottish Rite, and was a Shriner. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the board of directors of the Waynesboro chapter of the Virginia Museum, the Waynesboro chapter of the Mental Health Association and McDow Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Jane (Thacker) Hall; and two sisters, Mrs. H. G. (Louise) Hassett and Miss. Harriett Anne Coiner, both of Waynesboro. He was preceded in death by a stepfather, Miller D. Coiner, and a sister, Betty Lou Lilly. A private service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Riverview Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church by Dr. J. Whitner Kennedy and the Rev. Richard Koster. The family requests that there be no public viewing. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at McDow Funeral Home.
