Obituary: Jean (Truslow) Harris, 2002 Source: The Daily Progress, September 3, 2002 Contributor: Dennis Truslow -------------------------------------------------------- Jean Truslow Harris Jean Truslow Harris, 62, of Charlottesville, died Saturday (at Martha Jefferson Hospital), Aug. 31, 2002, following a short illness. She was born March 14, 1940, in Nelson County to James O. and Mae Truslow. She worked in the Charlottesville City School System for many years at Walker and Clark Schools, served as the office manager at Old Dominion Prosthetics for several years, and was active in the ministry of her church. The family would like to thank the staff at Martha Jefferson Hospital for their tender and loving care in her final days. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, D.J. "Spike" and Karen Harris, of Culpeper, Dennis and Jackie Harris, of Crozet, and Derrick and Kay Harris, of Hahira, Ga.; two grandchildren, Dylan Harris of Crozet, and Emma Harris of Hahira, Ga.; her mother, Mae Truslow of Waynesboro; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Phoebe Truslow, of Crozet, Alvin and Faye Truslow, of Waynesboro, and Edward and Bonnie Truslow, of Verona; one sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Johnny Donovan of Florence, S.C.; and numerous nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday morning at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Charlottesville. The family will receive friends and relatives immediately following the service in the reception hall.
