Obituary: Richard Perrow Harvey Source: The Daily Progress, May 7, 2003 Contributor: Dennis Truslow ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Richard Perrow Harvey, 77, of Lovingston, died Tuesday morning, May 6, 2003, at his residence. Born February 1, 1926, in Nelson County, he was the son of the late William Tunstall Harvey and Dorothy Seay Harvey. He was a retired self employed Orchardist in Nelson County and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lewis Carlton, William Lynn, Clyde Hess; and his sisters, Margaret Hill and Dorothy Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Bayrd Harvey; three daughters, Gwendolyn Harvey of Richmond, Ramonia Newsome of Charlottesville, and Romelda Gugliemo of Alexandria; one sister, Annie D. Kaufman of Lynchburg; one brother, Douglas "Doug" Harvey of Lovingston; and three grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the Graveside in Oak Hill Church Cemetery with the Rev. John Gordon officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and suggest that memorials take the form of donations to the Lovingston Fire Department or the Nelson County Rescue Squad.
