Obituary: Elizabeth (Massie) Hart

  Elizabeth Massie Hart, wife of the late Andrew DeJarnette Hart, physician 
and Professor Emeritus of Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia, 
died on Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, at the Martha Jefferson House. She was 101 
years old.
  Mrs. Hart was born on Aug. 15, 1902, in Nelson County, the daughter of 
Cyrus T. Massie and Susan R. Massie. A graduate of the University of Virginia 
School of Nursing in 1925, she resided at Sunny Bank, the Hart ancestral home 
in North Garden, for 40 years.
  Mrs. Hart is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Hart Mullock of Pittsburgh, 
Pa.; a son, Andrew D. Hart Jr. of North Garden; four grandchildren and six 
great-grandchildren.
  A private memorial service will be held.  Hill and Wood Funeral Home is 
assisting the family with arrangements.
