"Red" Henderson, 82, of Route 3, died Wednesday (Aug. 24, 1994) at his home. He was the widower of Clair Virginia Henderson. He was born Oct. 26, 1911, in Nelson County, a son of Charlie Fritz and Dora Cook Henderson. He retired from Du Pont in 1972 following 42 years of service and was a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by a brother, Grover E. Henderson; and three sisters, Ollie Henderson Critzer, Anny Pearle Moneymake, and Effie Elizabeth Henderson. He is survived by two brothers, Louis L. Henderson of Harriston and Oliver A. Henderson of Waynesboro; two sisters, Erssie Wade of Fishers- ville and Lena Henderson of Afton; and numerous nieces and nephews. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the chapel of McDow Funeral Home by the Rev. Wll Heyward. Interment will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be James Higgs, Kenny Critzer Jr., Steve Wright, Ronnie Via, Dennis Cook and David Critzer. The family will receive friends, from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
