Obituary: Jane Hetler, 2003 Source: The Daily Progress, April 8, 2003 Contributor: Dennis Truslow --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jane Hetler, 83, of Wintergreen, Va., (Nelson County), passed away comfortably in her home on Saturday April 5, 2003. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Kyle Lynn; her granddaughter and her husband, Stuart and Paul Spicer; and her grandson, Hunter Lynn. Born June 1, 1919, in Brawley, Calif., she studied dance at the University of Arizona and later married her husband, the late Captain Carson Hetler. As a military couple, the two traveled extensively, living in Florida, Hawaii, Philadelphia, and Northern Virginia. Later retiring in Stoney Creek at Wintergreen, where they lived for 14 years the couple was among the first in the developing community and met a network of friends through active participation in neighborhood associations and weekly bridge groups. As a loving mother, grandmother, and devoted friend, Jane touched the lives of all who knew her. With her strong determination, warm smile, and love of life she, will be greatly missed.
