Obituary: Jeremy Vernon Hill, 2003 Source: The Daily Progress, May 6, 2003 Contributor: Dennis Truslow --------------------------------------------------------------------- Jeremy Vernon Hill, 31, of Faber Community (Nelson County) went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 3, 2003. A devoted husband, father, son and brother, he is survived by his loving wife, Brenda, and adored children, Triston, Reagan and Lauren of Faber; his parents, John W. "Billy" Hill and Delores Saunders Hill of Piney River; brother, John W. "Jack" Hill Jr., and his wife, Samantha, and their children, Morgan and Wesley of Crozet; his grandmother, Marjorie Bryant Hill of Roseland; and a host of devoted aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. Jeremy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sidney Vernon and June Spencer Saunders. The love and devotion to his children, wife, family, friends and life itself, are the greatest testaments to his time here on earth. Always equipped with a loving smile, he will be remembered as a kind, compassionate man who never hesitated to show how much he cared for all those whom he came in contact. Jeremy’s greatest passion was for his children and the promises that their future hold. His family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Triston and Reagan Hill Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 633, Crozet, Va. 22932, a fund established to secure Jeremy’s commitment to their future. The family will receive all those wishing to celebrate Jeremy’s life at Wells/ Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and at all other times at Jeremy’s home in Faber. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at Calvary Baptist Church, Lovingston, of which Jeremy was a member, with the Rev. John P. Campbell officiating.
