Obituary: Lawrence Hunt Source: The Daily Progress, June 15, 2003 Contributor: Dennis Truslow, aquaair@erols.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lawrence "Shorty" Hunt, 60, of Crozet, died at a local hospital on Friday, June 13, 2003. Born on June 1, 1943, in Albemarle County, the son of the late Gordon Hunt and Maggie Fitzgerald Hunt, (both of Nelson County). He was preceded in death by one son, Glenn Edward Hunt; and a sister, Ruth Anne Williams. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Hunt; one son, Troy Hunt of Crozet; one sister, Dorothy Driscoll of Richmond, Va.; and one brother, Thomas "Red" Hunt of Welcome, N.C. He was employed by Albemarle County Building Services, as a plumbing foreman for 34 years. Family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Crozet Fire Department, P.O. Box 373, Crozet, Va., 22932 or the Western Albemarle Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 188, Crozet, Va. 22932. Family will receive friends Monday, June 16, 2003, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on, Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at 1 p.m. at the Crozet Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Sandridge Cemetery in Whitehall. The Rev. Roger Browning will officiate.
