  AFTON -- Lilbourn McFall "Mac" Irvine of Afton, 84, died Sunday 
(Sept. 29, 2002.) He was born March 27, 1918, at Mount Solon, to Raymond 
Howard and Myrtle Clemmer Irvine. He was retired from the E.I. DuPont 
Company. 
  Mr. Irvine was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Anna 
Farrar and Myrtie Irvine. Survivors include his wife, Sally Elizabeth 
Irvine; two sons, Arthur Irvine of Gloucester and Dean Irvine of 
Stanardsville; two daughters, Dawn Freese of West Palm Beach, Fla., and 
June Thacker of Marathon, Fla.; and two brothers, Ray Irvine of Battle 
Creek, Mich., and Van Irvine of Orange Park, Fla. 
  Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hebron Baptist Church. 
Preddy Funeral Home, Madison, is handling arrangements.
