Jackson, (81), of Faber, departed this life on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002, at Albany Medical Center, Albany, N.Y. Born March 5, 1921, in Eagle Springs, N.C., she was the daughter of the late James H. Cole and Susie A. Dowdy Cole. She was married to Harold Jackson for 40 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and six sisters. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Her church affiliations included Sunday School teacher, choir treasurer, member of the Missionary Circle, Women's auxiliary member, and member of the Deaconess Board. She was also past treasurer of the Mahogany Club of Faber. During Pearlie's life on earth, she was a graduate of Pinkney High School, Charthage, N.C., and completed vocational school in Fayetteville, N.C.. She was employed as a vocational nurse at San Francisco Memorial Hospital, San Francisco. In 1981, she and her husband moved from San Francisco to Faber. In addition to her husband, Harold Jackson, she is survived by her devoted niece, Thelma Jean Battle of Troy, N.Y.; three other nieces, Betty Cole, Kathy Banks and her husband, Rosevelt Banks, all of Albany, N.Y., and Elaine Wilkinson of Troy, N.Y.; four great-nieces, Dawana Wilkinson, Frontiana Murray, Keisha Battle, and Danyelle Rasheed, all of Troy, N.Y.; a great- nephew, Taison Wilkinson of Troy, N.Y.; seven sisters-in-law; two brothers- in-law; and numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the Chapel of J.F. Bell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Faber, with the Rev. James Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
